stocking // widdershins

£80.00

A little bit of Christmas mischief.

Widdershins is named after the old word for moving anticlockwise, or in the opposite direction to the expected. It seemed an apt name for a stocking that doesn't follow the usual rules: an individual piece made from reclaimed textiles, with all the quirks and character that come from working with fabrics that already have a history.

Toe and heel from brazilwood-dyed cotton. Applique rectangle of irish linen dyed with walnut, madder, and iron. Free-stitched sleeping star motif. Lilac cotton back and inner.

Handmade in the studio, it's for anyone who prefers their Christmas a little less predictable.
